Imagine, for a moment, your work day starts with typical office tasks, but suddenly, you’re faced with a concerned citizen holding a goose that’s swallowed a bag of marbles. While it’s not listed on your business card, you’re now a professional goose rescuer. This isn’t a script from a TV show; it was just another day in my life at Parks and Rec.
In the spirited world of public service, adaptability wasn’t just an asset but a necessity. While goose rescue was not a daily task, it is emblematic of my unpredictable nature of Parks and Rec. I learned to thrive amidst the unexpected, finding joy in the unusual and honing my ability to connect with all types of community members.
These experiences laid the groundwork for a seamless transition into the digital product sphere, where I bring the same energetic approach to solving complex design and development puzzles. My career shift was sparked during a time of personal reflection and evaluation. During this time, I reclarified my life’s mission, to live boldly, joyfully, and honorably, inspiring others toward greatness.
I also defined my core values: to live purposefully, act with integrity, be guided by faith in God, and create with excellence. It is also essential to work with courage, not letting the unknown stop me, adapt and preserve even when the going gets tough, and remain humble, knowing I do not have all the answers.
